WHY BECOME A TOASTMASTER

There is no better growth than when you face your fears!

What is the difference between someone delivering a speech and a charismatic speaker? The former is but a vehicle, a delivery channel. You will find this person in first year university lecture halls, reading words off of PowerPoint slides while the audience’s attention wanders off. The latter embodies the words through body language, intonations, and irresistible stage presence. You will find this person giving TED Talks, inspiring and motivating others, and changing the world.

You may be more comfortable communicating by email or telephone than in person. Speaking to large or small groups, or even one-on one, may intimidate or frigten you. Yet good comminication skills are vital if you want to be successful. Most Schools and universities don't offer this type of training. Toastmasters does. In VETC you'll learn to formulate, express and market yourself and your ideas with poise and confidence. You'll improve your ability to listen and evaluate other's ideas while learning leadership skills.

Regardless of whether or not you are born with natural charisma, Toastmasters International will help you get to the next level and beyond as a public speaker. We can provide you mentorship from seasoned veterans, a proven guideline, and a welcoming place to practice with a community that will aid in your growth.
